Larra S. Spahr, 30, of Hartford City, Indiana, has been criminally charged after her dog attacked and bit a pedestrian.
Authorities say that Spahr’s dog jumped out of her car on September 4, 2012, and then bit a woman walking nearby without provocation.
Spahr’s dog, named Constantine, had not been immunized for rabies when she bit the woman.
Spahr’s charges include misdemeanors for dog bite liability and harboring a non-immunized dog. Her potential penalties include a jail sentence of up to 180 days and up to $1,500 in fines.
