Proposal For Crackdown On Roaming Cats Defeated.

Voters at a town meeting in Concord, MA recently rejected proposed measures to address the problem of roaming cats.  The proposed measure included temporarily placing roaming cats in a local shelter and exploring options to confine cats that repeatedly trespass on neighboring property.  Other proposals included hiring an animal control officer and developing guidelines for pet ownership.  The woman who made the proposals said that she did so after her neighbors’ cats killed birds on her property.
