A San Diego, CA man was walking his dog in the City Heights neighborhood late Sunday, September 16, when a loose pit bull charged and attacked him and his dog.
The man pulled out a knife he was carrying and stabbed the attacking dog.
The dog then retreated to its home and the man called the police.
The pit bull’s owner took the dog to a veterinarian, but he was not able to save the animal and it died from its wounds.
The man and his dog suffered minor personal injuries in the attack. The man said that he would not be filing charges against the pit bull’s owner.
