On Monday, November 19th, 2012, a woman was taking her daily afternoon jog on the Highline Trail in Rutherford, New Jersey when an unleashed dog bit the woman’s leg and ran off.
The dog was described as blond and short haired, similar to a Labrador. The dog was with another dog that was also off its leash. Both were being walked by a woman with short grey hair, who apparently was unaware that her dog had attacked the jogger.
The jogger is receiving treatment for rabies. The owner of the dog has yet to come forward and claim responsibility.
