Condemned Mansfield, Massachusetts Dog Bites Another Victim.

A dog that had been ordered to be put to sleep by the Mansfield, Massachusetts Board of Selectmen for biting a 6 year-old, attacked another victim this past weekend. The dog’s owners abandoned their appeal to save their dog’s life, and agreed to put down the animal. The dog is now dead.

The dog, a hound/pointer mix named Milo, first bit 6 year-old Christian Herbert back in January, resulting in severe physical trauma to the child’s face, requiring hundreds of stitches. Milo reportedly bit 16 year-old Allison Bailey this past weekend.

Bailey was taken to the Hasbro Children’s Hospital for emergency room treatment for her serious face and ankle injuries.

Milo’s owner family, who originally considered filing an appeal of the Board of Selectmen’s decision, now recognizes that Milo poses a danger to others. The dog’s family now believes that Milo suffers from some type of neurological disorder, and that their beloved dog has a dark and dangerous side. The order that he be put to sleep has now been carried out.

Before his death, Milo was being held in quarantine at a local animal control center in Mansfield.
